Minutes of Meeting of the Parish Council was held at The Environment Centre, Stibbington on Wednesday 7th September 2016 commencing at 7 p.m.

1 | Opening of meeting – Cllr Beuttell welcomed everyone to the meeting |

7.3 | D Knibbs – Litter pick August/September 2016 plus emptying Dog Bins – £420.00 |
8 | Planning Applications:
16/01635/FUL – Demolition of existing dwelling/guesthouse and erection of replacement dwelling at Stoneacre, Elton Road, Wansford, Peterborough PE8 6JT – Cllrs had looked at proposed plans in great detail, no objections were raised. |
9 | Painting of Telephone Boxes and Lamp Posts:
Unfortunately we are unable to obtain free paint for the Telephone Boxes from BT but they have advised us where appropriate paint can be purchased at a cost of £99 which is for 1×2.5 litre tin red paint + undercoat + delivery and VAT. |
10 | Correspondence from residents:
Light outside Chapel Court has now been fixed. |
11 | Traffic Calming and Parking:
Resident highlighted current concerns and that the problem was not getting any better- it was agreed that Cllr Beuttell would write to Highways (Cllr M MacGuire) to seek clarification on what can/cannot be done and ascertain way forward. |
12. | General Correspondence:
Community Highways Volunteering Scheme – condensed copy to be placed on noticeboards and in Living villages and website. |
13. | Questions from Councillors:
Dog Bins (review frequency of emptying) – resident in attendance who had complained about odours from one of the sited bins was concerned that the siting of the dog bins had not been put out to public consultation. After a very heated discussion it was unanimously agreed by all Cllrs that we ask the contractor to empty the bins on a weekly basis until mid October this year. Next year 2017 we would request that the bins are emptied every week during June through to the end of September. The resident appeared to be satisfied with this conclusion. |
