Discussions took place on the above:
The above site lies behind a row of Grade II listed cottages. The site is accessed by a narrow driveway which is not even roadworthy for heavy vehicles.
” Builder’s yard” is a very broad scope. Are Gas tanks and inflammable materials to be kept there and if so how would any Emergency vehicles obtain access to the proposed “yard?”
The exit of the site opens onto a very busy village street and is totally unsuitable for this purpose. We also have evidence of discontinued use of this site as a builder’s yard.
The Parish council was unanimous in that this yard has not been used commercially for at least 13 years, and if it has, have Commercial Rates been paid on it
The Parish Council also noted that there have been applications of a different purpose for this site in the past which have gone to Appeal. Why was it not brought to the Council’s attention during the appeal process that the site was currently being used as a builder’s yard, but left until those appeals failed and then another application of a different type has been lodged?
The Parish Council unanimously agreed that we object to the renewal of a builders licence for this particular site.
