The Meeting of the Parish Council was held at The Environment Centre, Stibbington on Wednesday, 17th July 2013.

 

Present:

  • Councillors were in attendance from 7.30 pm
  • 3 members of the public were also present

 

Business Discussed

Opening of meeting  – Cllr Beuttell welcomed everyone and declared the meeting open.

Apologies for Absence – to receive and accept apologies for absence – Cllr J Wright

Declaration of Interest in Business to be Transacted – to receive declarations of interest – person and/or prejudicial and the nature of those interests relating to items on the agenda – None

Public Forum – to allow any member of the public to address the council.  Time limited to 10 minutes –

Sign advertising Telephone Kiosk near Haycock turnoff from A1 has not been removed – a further request to be made to highways – Parish Clerk to ask if our handyman will remove for us and advise highways accordingly.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:

5.1

Approval of Minutes of Meeting held on 7th May 2013 – the minutes were approved for signature.

Review of Actions from Meeting 7th May 2013 – any necessary actions included as separate items on this agenda – none.

To Authorise the Following Orders for Payment: all undermentioned invoices were approved for payment.

7.1

Wendy Gray (clerk’s salary) – May/June 2013 – £433.32

Clerks Expenses – Stationery/Postage/Use of Computer – £48.19

A Flatters – Emptying and Disposal of contents of Dog Bins – £100.00

A Flatters – Converting Noticeboards x 2 to Book Exchanges and replace one pane of broken glass – £410.00

CambridgeshireCounty Council – Purchase of 3 Grit Bins – £342.00

Planning:

Planning applications received since last meeting and Parish Council’s responses forwarded to planning –

  • 4 Waters Edge – detached single garage
  • 3 Waters Edge – variation of conditions to amend design, appearance and layout of dwelling and garage for plot 3
  • 6 London Road – re-sash and repair to existing dormer window in south west elevation
    99 Elton Road demolition of existing dwelling and erection of a replacement dwelling

Correspondence from residents: None.

General Correspondence: HACT – providing door to door transport for rural locations in Huntingdonshire – a leaflet drop will be carried out in the village outlining scheme and costings.  A copy will be placed on noticeboards.

Questions from Councillors:

Recent heavy rains have against caused problem with flooding – highways to be contacted again with a copy being forwarded to Cllr M MacGuire.

Reports:

Cllr Beuttell reported that approval for funding had been received for installing bollards near Chapel Court.  A picture of the bollards to be used had been circulated to all councillors.  The councillors agreed wooden type bollards would be more in keeping within the village.

 

Cllr Beuttell reported that confirmation had been received re new speeding sign which is to be installed in place of existing sign.  We have managed to obtain at last years price.

 

Report received from PCSO Barry Chamberlain which had been emailed to all councillors.
