The Meeting of the Parish Council was held at The Environment Centre, Stibbington on Wednesday, 4th September 2013.

 

Present:

Councillor M Beuttell Councillor D Price Councillor J Wright
Councillor P Styles Councillor I Turner Wendy Gray, Parish Clerk
     


 

  • Councillors were in attendance from 7.30 pm
  • 2 members of the public were also present

 

Business Discussed

Opening of meeting  – Cllr Beuttell welcomed everyone and declared the meeting open.

Apologies for Absence – to receive and accept apologies for absence – Cllr N Cook

Declaration of Interest in Business to be Transacted – to receive declarations of interest – person and/or prejudicial and the nature of those interests relating to items on the agenda – None

Public Forum – to allow any member of the public to address the council.  Time limited to 10 minutes –

Request was made for street light bulbs to be changed (as per new light) which is brighter.  Enquiries were made but contractor would have to change brackets.  Parish Clerk to obtain costings for changing brackets.

 

Had the Parish Council received note about Parish Council Meeting in Nassington where planning application had been submitted for 35 acres of land to be covered with poly tunnels – no information received at Sibson.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: Minutes of 17th July were approved and signed.

5.1

Matters arising from above minutes:

Highways contacted re drains going down hill towards A1 before slip road on the bend still blocked with debris – Parish Clerk to contact again.

Accounts @ 31st August 2013:

Community Account – £13,441.00

Business Saver Account – £18,160.00

To Authorise the Following Orders for Payment: all undermentioned invoices were approved for payment.

Wendy Gray (clerk’s salary) – July/August 2013 – £433.32

7.2

Clerks Expenses – Stationery/Postage/Use of Computer – £86.98

A Flatters – Emptying and Disposal of contents of Dog Bins – £70.00

Planning:

  • 1301061FUL – 111 Elton Road – no objections
  • 1301139FUL – 99 Elton Road – previous comments stand
  • 1301284FUL – 113 Elton Road – no objections, HDC need to make decision on change of driveway

Correspondence from residents: None.

General Correspondence: Connection Cambridgeshire – update on superfast broadband, copy to be sent to all Councillors.

Questions from Councillors:

Chicken Farm near aerodrome – no planning application received as yet.

 

Electric contractors digging up supply (footpath dug up) filled in different colours, state of footpaths left in a dangerous state – Cllr Beuttell will raise with Highways.

 

Cllr Styles reported that he would be stepping down from the Parish Council and expressed concern that there were no members on the Parish Council from this end of the bridge.

 

Had any further news been received on state of River Bridge – Parish Clerk will report back after next Wansford PC meeting.

 

Grit bins – these will be moved in due course from Cllr Beuttells house where they have been stored into the village.

 

Agreed at last meeting and complained about white lining and parking areas etc.  Cllr Beuttell will be meeting with highways for walk around village to discuss.  Will report back at next meeting.
